CHAPTER 1
You are now in a downtrodden path encroached by two mounds of rock wherein you can see nothing.
"Halt!" a man shouts "You, strongarm, that travels this path. Stop at once!"
The man appears from atop the left mound. He wears only a metal cuirass and a loincloth, and wields a small bow and dagger.
- "What is it, man?"
- "You are half-giant, yes? I have need of you!"
- "I'm afraid I have no time, friend. It is clear that the rider is on it's way to Orlin!"
""What is clear is that their dark Master still lies waiting; somewhere still the Slayer atop the demonhorse makes his den, biding his time; but he is not the only creature here that you should fear. There is the man-slaying bat that is of no common size!" He spits on the ground. "I have travelled here far, so you must listen!"
"He has sucked her dry, my beloved nymph lover! Left her an empty, dry husk! I've vowed to take revenge for her, for Enrid!" he lets out a wail "The bat that I call Nymphslayer! The one with blood red wings."
"Calm down, man. Where is this bat?" you say.
He huffs "It is on this very path you follow, aye, until the old pillar marked, then follow left!" he puffs "It is where we follow until we reach his nest atop a sheer cliff face, and then we strike at it! "
