The hanged man is fastened to a pole that is angled and driven to the ground. So, he looms above the stream, drifting slightly.

A terrible stink emanates from the corpse. He must've been here for a long time.

Two deformed hunchbacks argue with a wizened bearded old man. They stand near the middle where the hanged man is.

"Tis' ain't right! We shouldn't allow hanging' 'ere!" spouted the two hunchbacks in unison to the old man "Look at 'em, he's bulgin' an' bloated like a sack of frogs!" said just one of them; the other agreed.

The old man turns to face them. "This man did not deserve to live! He was a monster! We shall pay him no honors!"

The hunchbacks gasped and said "But, in the teachin' of Thorax, says that we should bury all of the dead. They should return to the Earth! Where we came from. Elder? Why won't you let us bury this man? What did he do?"

"Quiet! This man attacked us! He intented to slay me and the others. You children understand how valuable this city-keep is to the defense of the kingdom?" the old man looks back at the corpse "He will not be buried among us"
