CHAPTER 2
You lunge yourself into the broken gateway. Half-molten, you were one of the last to enter. The groaning metal you feel will give in soon.
The lawmaster speaks to you in a hurried voice: "Grol! Talk to me! I saw you there. You could not strike that wizard, I saw you."
"He tricked me, and flew away...he is a cloak, but inside of him is his true shape, a green spirit."
"Aye, I saw it. When he is struck by the hail his form appears for but a brief moment. I have not seen Tulkas yet however...That is very much odd..."
"I killed his secondmost general...There is a terrible wound in my leg and chest..."
"I see that...Listen, I fear the foremost section of the city is lost. You must take the anubisath and decide this! Make the offer of a duel, and then kill him... Else we will use the secondmost wall, and that one is not as sturdy. But I will take the other legions and hold here."
And so you climb upon the back of the beast: you see the armies from the half-broken wall. The anubisath wait behind the gate.
