CHAPTER 2

The thing seizes up, his thin fingers twitching; and it's chest almost collapsing under itself. Then it finally springs up and crawls away onto the darkness. The torso and it's innards lay scattered.

"I-I have to leave! I'm going to the capital!" yelps the man. You almost forgot he was there. "Much here, much has been lost! No, no! I won't stay here no longer...Stranger, this is the last time you will see me, I promise!"

As he is leaving along with his hurriedly packed thing, he is startled by the gurgling of blood. An eruption from some vein inside the lower half of the thing. Bones cracking at the seams: the entrails snake away, taking life to form a disgusting symbology, dragging themselves and painting the blue-lit glass a darker shade. Then, one end of the snakething begins to mouth a word, but it simply fails. It falls flat on the ground. On the ground is a crude circle; lines of blood countless, infinitesimally small pierce the lower half from the outer edge; then, a larger circle, similar, but with lines even thinner. The circle outstretches until there is absolutely nothing but grass.

You leave that house.
