CHAPTER 2

A piper sits upon a mossy rock. He greets you and your companion; shuffling his plaid pants, sitting crossed.

"A but isn't it so? The two merry men! The betrayer...and the stillborn bastard! Now..."

"What? What did you call me?" Gurmandiir spits out "I am no betrayer!"

He piper sings a tune. You can only describe it as morbid. "The pustelunt postule of the moribund man! Ah! But you left him to die? The sword, golden, split hit back and was red, then! But do not fret, I will not share this secret with anyone...It is safe, with me, quiet as the whistling grave!"

"Cur!"

"Hold! What is this about..stillborn bastards?"

"Oh giant..giant! So big is your heart, so full of worries! From all sides you seem besieged, but many friends are charmed by you...does that not sound like the qualities of a ruler? Have you not stopped, to wonder, where you came from?"

"Well..."

"Of course...of course! But that is not what I am asking, buffoon! I am asking...do you remember, the face of your father and mother?"

"How could I remember? I was only a babe."

"You seem to know much, tell him!"

"Seven brothers, this man had!" he lifts up a hand but only counts five "Two died. Now, you may wonder, what are their names? And the answer will reveal why he is here after all"

"You're saying..."

"Don't listen to this fool...every idiot can make threatening prophecy...."

The piper sings a song of 'melancholy' however mixed with 'glory'.
