CHAPTER 1
The path curves gently until it gives way to the Mouth of Beledain. You are now at the Ways of Beledain, and you are ever closer to the township of Orlin and the Mouth of the King.
You know that this is the cave where the armies of the Heretical Khans, the sons of Gulbeb, were routed and then slaughtered in the Battle of the Red Hawk, for it was then that Mondaeus summoned a great storm of fire to bless the weapons of the armies of the King of God.
And you know that the tomb of Beledain lies here, for it is the final resting place of the soldiers of the battle and of the commander Beledain, slayer of Gulbeb.
But these are things of old, and you should not worry about them much.
You see, inside the great cave, a small hut atop a small hill. A man sits beside the porch. It is the same joyful, fat man you saw previously; he waves at you and goes inside.
You see then another man climb up the hill. Small but broad, you see that his grey hair is wild and windswept; a deep scar runs across his left eye but despite this he looks with a wild glare. His scrunched up face turns into a deep smile as he greets the fat man .
He enters but leaves quickly; and you see that he waves at you as well.
What is going on?
